The first problem you have is removing the old set screw. you can try tapping in a larger allen or torx but and backing it out or you can dremel a slot in the set screw (and across the rear sight) and ease it out with a standard screwdriver.

We cut a slot in a piece of wood and laid the front sight in it, then flared the bottom of the front sight rivet from inside the slide.
