Web24 feb. 2013 · There are 2 adjusted statistics: DM and CW. I checked several sources but I am not sure about the difference. I wonder if anybody has an idea to calcylate the Clark and West adjusted statistics. From what I read here is Diebold-Mariano statistics: S= d/sqrt (varience of d (t)) sqrt (N) Webthan MSPE-adjusted. In almost all of the 48 simulations, this statistic is more undersized than MSPE-adjusted; the median size is about 0.06. CCS performs a little better than does MSPE-adjusted. Its median size is 0.11. In terms of size adjusted power, MSPE-adjusted and CH perform better than CCS and MSPE-normal.

Web1 iun. 2016 · McCracken (2007) provides test statistics to test the predictive accuracy of forecasts generated by a pair of nested parametric models. Under the null hypothesis, the expected loss of the pair of forecasts is the same. Under the alternative, the expected loss of the bigger model is less than that of the one it nests. WebSuch simulation results distinguish our procedure from one we call ‘‘MSPE-normal.’’ MSPE-normal looks at differences in MSPEs that are constructed without adjusting for the expected upward shift in the alternative model’s MSPE, and are sometimes called Diebold and Mariano (1995) or DM statistics. WebYou can use any measure of effect size that is comparable across units, but Abadie et al. (2010) suggest using post-treatment RMSPE (root mean square prediction error). That is the numerator of the ratio. The idea is that if there is an effect, the RMSPE will be large. So will be the MSPE. So if MSPE is 100, RMSPE is 10.
