There are a couple of things you can do to avoid this. The first is to tell the barber that you have a sensitive neck and request that he use only slight pressure with the clippers and apply some talc. WebIt might burn a little (depending on how well your shave went), but get a good coat on. Then wait a minute or two (I like to brush my teeth and clean my shaving gear in the mean time) before washing it off with cold water. It'll turn your neck red as a beet for 20 minutes, but no razor burn for the rest of the day.
