WebApr 21, 2009 · The data used in this study is the TRMM standard 2A25 products measured by TRMM PR in summer (June, July and August) from 1998 to 2006. TRMM PR is an electric scanning radar operating at 13.8 GHz. It scans ±17° from nadir with 49 positions, resulting in a 215 km swath width and a horizontal resolution of 4.3 km at nadir. Webalgorithm is the TRMM 2A25 product (Iguchi et al. 2000). Radiometer-only techniques for the estion have advanced mation of precipitati considerably over the last decade due to both observational and radiative transfer modeling studies. These techniques can be broken down into 3 types: emission-based, scattering-based, and profiling algorithms.
